Throwback to my trip to Hanoi with my @threesquads ! It was a 'yolo' trip as I only took 30 minutes to decide whether to join Kin for this trip 😅 As we are short of time to plan on how to explore Hanoi on our own, what Kin did was she booked all the tour packages through our hostel. ''kill two birds with one stone''. We paid a lump sum of money when we checked into the hostel ( accommodation + tour package) It makes our life much easier because we do not need to work on the itinerary. 懒人游 huh.
The places that we went for 7 days were Old Quarter, Halong Bay, Hao Lu, Tam Coc, Ninh Binh and Sapa. In my humble opinion, Sapa is a place that you should visit. Why? find out more in my post below. 💗 Let's explore this amazing place with me!

⬌ Air Ticket ⬌
Kin bought the air ticket for both of us after I said yes to her. erhem. It all happened so sudden, i couldn't believe I am going to two trips with her in March. MS joined us right after we bought the ticket! steady bompipi !!!
The air ticket costs us RM350 (Air Asia), it's quite reasonable according to Kin. Do check Skyscanner before you buy air ticket as the website can compare the price from different airlines.
飞机票是RM350 (AA). 买机票之前可以check skyscanner 查看价钱！还有一个小提示：您可以试试， 可是不是每次都行得通，方法是不要一次过查看来回机票的价钱，可以分开来查看单程票价，有时分开来买的价钱还来得便宜！

⬌ Accommodation & Tour Package ⬌
We chose to stay in Hanoi Lotus Hostel. It's a backpacker hostel in the heart of Old Quarter. We booked the accommodation + tour package at USD 211. Breakfast is included for the stay.
Overall, we are not very impressed with the cleanliness of the hostel as the basin of the shared toilet had a large rusty stain. One thing i don't like about this hostel is the hostel staff can come into the room anytime they want. I had this unpleasant experience where one of the stuff came into the room and talked to me, after that, he sat beside me and moved his body close to me, i am freaking out at that moment, and run all the way to the lobby while waiting my friends to come back...But, there are some other hostel stuffs who are really friendly and willing to share the travel infos around Old Quarter.
⬇⬇ is the itinerary that sent by the hostel staff:
💨Day 1: Arrive at Hanoi. Driver will pick us up to our stay.
💨Day 2: Visit Halong Bay. Lunch is included.
💨Day 3: Visit Hao Lu- Tam Coc - Ninh Binh. Lunch is included. Get some rest, depart to Lao Cai by sitting night train. Train ticket is included.
💨Day 4: Trekking in Sapa. Spent a night in the homestay. Breakfast & lunch are included.
💨Day 5: Back to Hanoi by sleeping bus.
💨Day 6: Explore around Old Quarter, Hanoi
💨Day 7: Back to home.
我们选择住在Hanoi Lotus Hostel ! 坐落在Old Quarter 的中央！我们的住宿和tour package 总花费是 USD 其实这就是主要的花费！因为我们的住宿包含早餐，tour package包含午餐，所以我们只需花费在晚餐。
我们对住宿的清洁方面不是很满意，因为洗手盆已经生锈了，而排水系统不是很好！最重要的是安全方面也不是很理想！我们选择的是dormitory room, 不好的是那里的员工可以进出我们的房间自如，有天我自己一个人呆着房间，我朋友都出去了，那里的一位员工走进来跟我谈天，然后直接做在我床上把他身子靠近我，吓得我直接跑到楼下旅馆大厅等我朋友回来.不过那里也有很有友好的员工，愿意跟我们分享OQ有什么好玩好吃的。
以下是我们的行程简略：
第一天：Old Quarter
第二天：下龙湾
第三天： Hao Lu- Tam Coc - Ninh Binh. 搭晚班火车去Sapa
第四天：Sapa
第五天：回去 OQ
第六天：继续探索OQ
第七天: 打道回府

⬌ Weather + Expenses ⬌
The weather is pretty cold during mid of March. Luckily I got bring my thick clothes & jacket along. We only spent around RM 1500 for this trip. (air ticket, accommodation, tour, food). I didn't spend much on the souvenirs as I don't drink Coffee.
越南三月的天气很冷爽！好彩我有带一些厚厚的衣去！我超级怕冷的。可是这种天气对我朋友说是刚刚好丫！
我们总共花了接近 RM1500 (包括一切费用：飞机票，住宿，tour package, 吃喝 等）我没有什么花在手信上，因为越南出名越南咖啡，可是我并不喝咖啡，家人也一样。

⬌ Old Quarter ⬌
You will be amazed by the antique buildings around Old Quarter. I cannot differentiate the streets in OQ as it looks almost the same to me, just like a big maze. You can easily explore around OQ when you have friends who are super good in direction. Thanks to them& Google Maps, we didn't lost our way.
To those who don't know how to ''Jaywalk'' OR don't dare to do so, you definitely must come to Hanoi- Old Quarter to practice this ''TO-SURVIVE-IN-OLD QUARTER '' skill. I dare you to visit this place😆 The traffic in this city is terrifying as it is full of motorbikes. The cyclists won't stop before the zebra crossing and even when the traffic light turns red. Warning: Hand gesture is useless, come on ah, it can only be practiced in M'sia, 👐 what you need to do is just close your eyes, pray to the god, cross the road, and get horned ! No Joke HAHA
河内老城区的建筑物很独特，身形都是窄窄长长的！听说它们都是法国统治遗留下来的建筑物 (如错误，请纠正）里面的街道对我来说都是一个模样，仿佛是一个大迷宫。辛亏我的朋友们的方向感都很好，拿着GPS 就可以走天下了，没有失踪就好 哈哈
河内出名它的交通！那个摩多车是多到吓死人！多没关系，重点是都不会停下来，不管红灯行人道他们也照走 我的天！对一个人不会过马路的我是多大的考验！如果你怕过，真的就寸步不移，哪都不能去了。还有一个特点就是他们时不时都在按Horn ...

⬌ Halong Bay ⬌
Famous for its thousands of limestone karsts and isles in various shapes and sizes.
it took 4 hours to reach at HB. After that, we embarked on the cruise followed by a short cruise briefing. We had our lunch on cruise while enjoying the stunning scenery with thousands of limestone mountains. One of the activities that included for this tour is kayaking or sitting in a bamboo boat rowing by local people. We chose to sit in the bamboo boat as I am scare that my belongings (phone /wallet) will drop into water if i would like to kayak. lol. We also get to visit the most famous grotto in HB (Thien Chong Grotto)-with incredible stalagmites and stalactites. so, it marks the end of our journey in HB.
第二天一早前往下龙湾！需要四个小时的车程才能到达呢！导游会到我们的旅馆前把我们带上小巴士，我们只需在旅馆的大厅等。一路上嘻嘻哈哈， 转眼就到达了港口了。上了船后，我们就在船上享用我们的午餐。这艘船有俩层楼哟，船停下来时我们可以到二楼拍照观赏风景！我们的行程活动也包括Kayak或乘坐当地人划的木船。最后，我们到达了一个出名的山洞，里面有很多壮观的钟乳石！可以看以下的照片 :D

⬌ Hao Lu, Tam Coc & Ninh Binh ⬌
Third day: A day tour around country side of Hanoi. Hao Lu is the ancient capital of Vietnam. We get to visit the old temples, boating along the river rowing by local people and cycling beside the paddy field. (even is for awhile only 😨)
Hao Lu: 这地方是越南以前的首都。首先，我们参观了几座庙宇，里头供奉着古代的皇上和皇子。庙宇的设计都和中国的很相似。
宁平和三谷：这地方都是一片绿油油的稻田！我们乘坐了当地的人划得船游河赏景。景色有如桂林般漂亮！跟团游的坏处就是你不知道你跟的另一群团友来自何方。与我们同游是一群来自伊朗的游客。我们这三人 vs 一群的伊朗人。 他们不要骑脚车游，要求导游带他们回去，原因是明天要搭早班飞机回去 ！可是你们订购的不是private tour叻 !!! 我们三人可是付了钱要参与全部活动的耶。为什么要迁就你们全部@@ 导游也拿他们没办法..经过协商后 他们肯让我们去一个45分钟，我们只能到附近的稻田拍拍照...就回来了...还要被说怎么去那么久...不明白啊

⬌ Sapa ⬌
We were taking night train to Sapa after we back from Ninh Binh ! It's my first 'sleeping train' experience ! i love it :)
We reached Lao Cai station about 5.30 am. Driver picked us up and transferred us to the hotel in Sapa Town ! After having our breakfast, we followed a local B'mong guide to visit Lao Chai- Ta Van Village (to trek) . P/S: you have to rent a pair of rain boots in order to trek in Sapa !!! We are having a good and bad time during this 5 hours of trekking! The trek was full of mud + it's drizzling along the journey. There was a group of H'Mong people followed us all the way until we reached at a certain point where they kept asking us to buy souvenirs from them at a extremely unreasonable price. But, they did help us a lot by 'lending their hands' throughout this 'dangerous journey'. if you take a wrong step, you will end up in heaven/ hell. The scenery in Sapa is the best!
我们乘坐夜班火车到达Sapa. 人生中第一次体验sleeping train, 有点suaku 不过真的是一个不错的体验！
到达Sapa 已经是另一天的早晨了，司机会接受我们到Sapa 的hotel给我们寄放行李和吃个早餐，过后我们就要开始我们五个小时艰难的爬山路程！切记切记： 请记得要在哪里租靴子穿，登山的路都是烂泥。 当天外头又下着毛毛雨，让我们的路程更加辛苦！那条路，你踏错一步，就会跟这世界说再见了！或许根本来不及说，真的很恐怖！不过，会有一群当地的族群，H'mong tribe, 他们会跟着我们一起上山 在较艰难的路段 扶着我们！不过到达了一个地方，他们会开始售卖一些天价的纪念品，一定要让你们买，友善的脸孔也会变了一个样！
我们入宿一晚当地居民的家里，有幸能与来自不同国家的旅人交流是个极好的体验！‘旅行的意义’。这地方真的好美！！！冷冷的天气，壮观的风景，新鲜的空气，呆在那里会觉得自己健康些 ! 💗
